Immigration is one of the most consequential things a person can do — and right now, navigating it means choosing between 8,000 pages of government rules, lawyers charging $5K-$12K, or forum advice that might get you deported.

Mirantly is changing that. We're building an AI-powered platform that gives people clarity on their immigration pathway and walks them through every step — starting with Canada, expanding globally. We're pre-seed, moving fast, and building something that genuinely matters to millions of people.

About the role

WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS

Mirantly sits between (Govt websites) — trustworthy but overwhelming — and immigration consultants who charge $5K–$12K most people can't afford.

We help immigrants find their pathway and walk it step by step. We're early-stage, based in Canada, and building for the 2M+ people on temporary status here trying to figure out what comes next. The pain is the product. The mission is real. We move fast because the people we serve don't have time to wait.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

You'll join a small founding engineering team — our CTO, our full-stack engineer, and you.

You'll ship across our React Native mobile apps (iOS + Android), our Python backend that powers AI guidance, and parts of our web platform.

You'll work directly with the CTO and founder, make architecture calls, and have a real seat at the table on what Mirantly becomes.

This is a founding-team role. It comes with founding-team equity and a lower base pay until future funding rounds.

What you'll work on

• Ship production code across the stack — React Native (mobile), Python (AI backend), Next.js (web)
• Build, release, and maintain our iOS and Android apps through the App Store and Play Store
• Use AI-first tooling (Cursor, Claude Code, similar) as a daily driver — we ship at the pace we do because we use these tools well, and the bar for this hire is the same
• Make architecture decisions, document the reasoning, and help shape the patterns the team builds on
• Help us scale from a few thousand users to hundreds of thousands without things breaking

What we're looking for

We know great people rarely check every box. If you have most of this and care about the problem, we want to hear from you.

• 5+ years of full-stack experience with senior-level ownership of production systems
• Strong Python (AI/backend) and React Native (mobile) — you've shipped real apps to both the App Store and Play Store, not just side projects
• AI-native: Cursor or Claude Code is how you work, not something you've read about. You can point to a project where AI tools meaningfully changed how fast you shipped
• Comfortable being a senior voice in the room — you make calls, you ship, you don't wait to be told
• Async-first communicator with enough North American time zone overlap to collaborate live when it matters
• Reliable internet, a quiet space to focus, and the self-direction to work without a manager looking over your shoulder
• Bonus: LLM integrations, RAG pipelines, or AI guidance systems in production
• Bonus: Consumer mobile apps that real people use daily
• Bonus: Pre-Series A startup experience — you know what "ship this week" actually feels like
