Refund Policy

Effective date: March 18, 2026

This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for paid features offered by Mirantly Technologies Inc. ("Mirantly," "we," "us," or "our"). It covers subscription plans, one-time purchases, and payments made to professionals through the Mirantly marketplace. Please read it alongside our Terms of Service.

1. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to all payments processed through the Services, including recurring subscriptions, one-time digital purchases, and funds you place into escrow for a professional engagement through the Mirantly marketplace.

Different payment types are refunded under different rules, because some involve only Mirantly and others involve an independent professional who performs work for you. The sections below explain each case.

2. Subscriptions

Mirantly subscriptions give you access to software features for a recurring period (for example, monthly or annual). When you subscribe, you authorize us to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period until you cancel.

  • You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund a period that has already started.
  • When you cancel, you keep access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • We do not provide partial refunds for unused days within a billing period, except where required by applicable law or expressly stated in this policy.
  • If you believe you were charged in error (for example, a duplicate charge or a charge after a confirmed cancellation), contact us and we will investigate and correct any verified billing mistake.

3. Free trials and introductory offers

Where we offer a free trial or introductory period, we will tell you how long it lasts and what happens when it ends.

  • If a trial converts into a paid subscription automatically, we will make that clear before you start the trial.
  • To avoid being charged when a trial ends, cancel before the trial period is over.
  • Promotional pricing applies only for the period stated in the offer. After that period, standard pricing applies unless you cancel.

4. One-time digital purchases

Some features may be offered as a single, one-time purchase rather than a subscription. Because these are digital products delivered immediately, they are generally non-refundable once accessed or used.

If a one-time purchase fails to deliver the feature you paid for due to a technical fault on our side, contact us and we will either restore access or issue a refund for that purchase.

5. Marketplace payments and escrow

When you hire a professional through the Mirantly marketplace, your payment is held in escrow and released to the professional in milestones as agreed work is delivered and approved. Mirantly facilitates these payments but does not perform the professional services itself.

Because the funds are intended for an independent professional, refunds for marketplace payments follow the milestone and dispute rules below rather than the subscription rules above.

You are responsible for reviewing delivered work before approving a milestone, since approval releases payment. We encourage you to raise any concerns before approving, not after.

SituationWhat happens to your funds
Milestone not yet releasedFunds for milestones you have not yet approved remain held in escrow and can be refunded if the engagement ends before that work is delivered.
Milestone already approved and releasedOnce you approve a milestone and the funds are released to the professional, that portion is considered earned and is generally non-refundable through Mirantly.
Work not delivered as agreedIf a professional does not deliver agreed work, you may open a dispute before approving the milestone, and held funds will be handled according to the dispute outcome.
Engagement cancelled earlyAny funds still in escrow for undelivered milestones are returned to you; released milestones are not reversed.

6. Disputes for marketplace engagements

If something goes wrong in a marketplace engagement, you can raise a dispute through the Services before the relevant milestone is released.

  • When you open a dispute, the funds tied to the disputed milestone stay held in escrow until the dispute is resolved.
  • We may ask both you and the professional for information to understand what was agreed and what was delivered.
  • We aim to resolve disputes fairly based on the agreed scope of work, the evidence provided, and the terms each party accepted.
  • Mirantly is not a court and does not provide legal rulings; our role is to administer the escrow according to the agreed milestones and these terms.

7. How to request a refund

To request a refund or report a billing problem, contact us with your account email, the date and amount of the charge, and a short description of the issue. The more detail you provide, the faster we can investigate.

  • Subscription and billing-error requests: contact us directly and we will review the charge.
  • Marketplace requests: open a dispute on the relevant engagement before approving the milestone.
  • We may need to verify ownership of the account and payment method before processing any refund.

8. Processing time and method

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. The time it takes for a refund to appear depends on your payment provider and is outside our direct control.

We do not charge a fee to process a valid refund, but third-party payment processors or banks may apply their own fees or currency-conversion differences that we cannot waive.

9. Chargebacks

If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us first. We can usually resolve billing issues faster and more fully than a chargeback through your bank.

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in a temporary suspension of your account while we investigate, so that we can confirm what was charged and why.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Services.

Refunds are assessed under the policy in effect at the time of the relevant charge.
